Smiling Strife is an alternative metal band founded in 2025 by Sam, a musician, songwriter, and producer from Madrid, Spain.

Their sound moves between the aggression of metalcore, the emotional tension of nu metal, the weight of alternative metal, and a strong influence from electronic music. The project was born as a way to channel emotions through music, turning feelings such as anger, anxiety, nostalgia, and inner conflict into intense, dark, and melodic songs.

Before shaping Smiling Strife, Sam was the songwriter and producer of Souleck, an underground band that released its first album, "Game Over", in 2015. That release marked an important chapter, but the band's journey came to an end shortly after. After years of silence, Souleck tried to find its way back in 2025. However, that search eventually turned into something new.

From that need for reconstruction, Smiling Strife was born: a project that carries the anger, nostalgia, and intensity of that first stage, but takes them into a more modern, mature, and visceral sound.

With lyrics shaped by inner conflict, anxiety, emotional resistance, and the need to turn noise into identity, Smiling Strife aims to build its own sonic identity, blending distortion, electronics, melody, and emotional intensity.

Their first work, "White Noise Temple", still in development, serves as a statement of intent: a symbolic place where white noise covers what cannot be said, and where each song becomes a way to release what has been buried for too long.
